Events Policies

Registration

All members should register for events online. Please contact the Webmaster for problems with online registration. If the event is full, members can contact the event captain to be placed on a waiting list.

Registration for an event closes eight days prior to the event.​

Payments

Members can pay by credit card through PayPal at the time of online registration.

Cancellations/ Refunds

No refunds will be given for cancellations made seven or fewer days prior to the event. Cancellations made more than seven days prior to the event will incur a $5.00 cancellation fee.  Please contact the event captain for more information.

Tour Cancellation

Cancellations for Tour will incur a $5.00 cancellation fee.

Substitutes

Substitutes are allowed if you are unable to attend an event. Contact the Event Captain to let her know that you have a substitute. The substitute should pay you directly.

 

A member who is unable to attend can also check with the Event Captain to see if there is anyone on the wait list who can fill their position.

Non-members are welcome to all events that include a non-member option. 

A non-member may attend two events in a season as a guest.

All guests must sign an EWGA Release Form and provide It to the Event Captain before playing.

 

League Policies

Registration

League participation requires membership in the EWGA DC Metro Chapter. All members must register for leagues online.  Players who are not registered online will not be permitted to play on the league.  Please contact the Webmaster for problems with online registration.  If the league is full (including both regular and substitute), members can contact the league captain to be placed on a waiting list.

 

Members who attend the Tee Off can register online for leagues at the Tee Off event. League registration is open to all members starting the Monday after the Tee Off and until the league is full. 

Payments for

Needwood, MD

Pay in Advance League


Participation in the Needwood Pay in Advance League requires prepayment at the course.

Substitutes (Needwood, MD League)

Substitute players at Needwood will pay their greens fee to the player they are substituting for.

Rain Out Policy

Pay as you Play Leagues:  In the event that a league date is rained out, the rain check policy for the golf course applies.

Pairings

League Captains will normally determine pairings for league play or use 1st come, 1st serve tee sheet signup forms each week.

Attendance

If you register as a Regular / Full time league member, you are expected to play 85% of the scheduled league days for the session. If you do not, the Captain will change your status to that of Substitute player.

League Guest Policy


League Guest Policy

A non-member may play in a league TWICE in a season as a guest.  All guests must sign an EWGA Release Form and provide it to the League Captain before playing.


Education Policies

Registration

All members should register for education events online. Please contact the Webmaster for problems with online registration. If the event is full, members can contact the Education Chair to be placed on a waiting list.

Payments

Members can pay by credit card through PayPal at the time of online sign-up.

Cancellations/ Refunds

Education payments are non-refundable unless the event does not fill and is cancelled by the chapter or the golf pro. In this case, refunds will be paid in full.

If there is a waitlist for an Education event, a player who requests a cancellation will receive a full refund if someone on the waitlist fills their position. No refunds are available for absences.

Substitutes

Substitutes are allowed if you are unable to attend an education event. Contact the Event Leader to let her know that you have a substitute. The substitute should pay you directly.

A member who is unable to attend can also check with the event leader to see if there is anyone on the waitlist who can fills their position.

Guest Policy

In most cases, non-members may not participate in our education events. This is a benefit of being a member of the EWGA DC Metro Chapter. However, we may offer education opportunities that are open to both members and non-members.

PayPal Usage

We are happy to offer the convenience of online payment with credit and debit cards through PayPal.

Note: PayPal payments are confirmed by an email from PayPal.

Cancellations

There will be no refunds for cancellations after the registration deadline for Leagues and Events.  Cancellations prior to the registration deadline will incur a $5.00 cancellation fee.
